I am trying to print a few pages from an online magazine that I subscribe to from Europe. The pages are longer than 8 1/2 x 11. Up to this month, I would go in and select that pages that I needed to print and I would select the shrink oversized pages option and the pages would print the entire page on an 8 1/2” x 11” page. This month when I tried to do the same thing, the shrink oversized pages option does not seem to work anymore as it prints the page, but due to the size is cutting off the top and bottom of each page. Since it worked in the past, this is very frustrating.

Hi @Pieper521,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
When the "Shrink oversized pages" option is not working as expected, it can be due to several reasons such as changes in the software, printer settings, or document formatting. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and fix this issue:
1. Check Print Settings in the PDF Viewer
Make sure the print settings in the PDF viewer or browser you're using are correctly configured.
Open the Document:
- Open the online magazine in your PDF viewer or browser.
Open Print Dialog:
- Press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Command + P (Mac) to open the print dialog.
Select Printer:
- Make sure your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e is selected as the printer.
Adjust Scaling Options:
- Look for scaling options such as "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages."
- Ensure "Fit to page" or a similar option is selected.
2. Check Printer Settings
Ensure that the printer settings are correctly configured for handling oversized pages.
Access Printer Properties:
- In the print dialog, click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
Adjust Paper Size and Scaling:
- Under the Paper/Quality or Layout tab, ensure the paper size is set to 8.5 x 11 inches.
- Look for options like "Scale to fit" or "Fit to page" and ensure they are enabled.
3. Update Printer Drivers
Outdated printer drivers can sometimes cause printing issues. Make sure your printer drivers are up-to-date.
Visit HP Support:
- Go to the HP Support website.
Download and Install Latest Drivers:
- Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e) and download the latest drivers.
- Follow the instructions to install the drivers and restart your computer.
Kindly find the next steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Pieper521,
Please find the next steps below.
4. Use Different PDF Viewer or Browser
If the issue persists, try using a different PDF viewer or browser.
Adobe Acrobat Reader:
- If you're not already using it, download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Open the document in Acrobat Reader and try printing again.
Different Browser:
- If you're printing directly from a browser, try using a different one (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
5. Print as Image
Sometimes printing the document as an image can resolve scaling issues.
Open Print Dialog:
- Open the print dialog as before.
Access Advanced Print Setup:
- In Adobe Acrobat Reader, click on Advanced in the print dialog.
Print as Image:
- Check the box for "Print as Image."
- Click OK and then Print.
6. Manually Adjust Page Size
If none of the above methods work, you can manually adjust the page size in the PDF viewer.
Open Print Dialog:
- Open the print dialog as before.
Adjust Custom Scale:
- Look for an option to manually set the scale or percentage.
- Set the custom scale to a percentage that fits the entire content on an 8.5 x 11-inch page (e.g., 90%).
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with the "Shrink oversized pages" option not working correctly on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer.
If the problem persists, contacting HP Support might be necessary for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
