I am having difficulties setting up the Deskjet 2630 on wifi.
When I first tried, I ran the HP Smart app on my laptop and it found the printer with no difficulties. It then said that it could not work on a 5ghz network (only 2.4ghz) and that is where the problems started.
I logged into the router page and disabled the 5ghz network, so it was only running the 2.4ghz network (although everything was only connected to the 2.4ghz network).
After this, I ran the HP Smart app again and it could not find the printer. I followed the instructions and set it up over USB, but then when I tried the wireless network setup, it could not be found. I have spent several hours so far trying all the options online such as resetting the wireless network settings on the printer by holding down the wireless and cancel buttons (and then trying to connect using WPS), and the hard rest of unplugging for 30 seconds and then pressing the power and resume buttons, but nothing works. I have also tried enabling the 5ghz network again but the printer could still not be found.
When I look at the wireless settings on my laptop, it shows an item that includes the words "HP direct", but when I try connecting to this, it asks for the network key (which I enter) but it is apparently incorrect.
On the small printer display is a wireless icon with an exclamation mark next to it. The wifi light is constantly flashing.
I am reaching the conclusion that the network reset (holding down the wifi and cancel buttons) is faulty. I can see this question has been posed before but I couldn't see any with this specific issue. Can anyone help with other suggestions?

Hi,
If you only see a Direct network on the list and not the Setup network, that means the wireless reset hasn't gone well.
Please repeat the reset by pressing both the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons at the same time, till the power light starts blinking, then allow it to become stable and ensure the Wi-Fi blue light blinks.
Assuming the reset was made, you should see an HP Setup network in your list, then reinstall the HP Software or follow HP Smart:

'Connect a printer that does not have a touchscreen control panel > Step 2: Connect the printer with the HP Smart app' contains detailed information for a such.
additionally, may you previously set an Administrator Password for your printer by any chance?

Thanks, I have tried pressing the cancel and wireless buttons many times, and have tried it again with no success. When I press them, the power light does not blink but stays solid. The wireless light blinks more quickly but only for a few seconds.
Are there any other possible solutions, other than concluding that one of the buttons is faulty?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
What is the operating system?
Keep me posted for further assistance.
