HP Envy 5000
iOS

I just tried to set up a new HP envy 5000 to print from my iPad. It seemed to work. From iPad files I selected an 8 page document to print once. Instead the printer printed the first page and a half repeatedly until it ran out of paper. I couldn’t cancel the printing because there is no printer icon on my iPad. I have an icon for the HP smart app, but could not find a printer control feature in the app. I suspect a problem with setup, but don’t know how to fix it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App and try again: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03561640

If it still doesn't work, try AirPrint: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/ish_1946968-1947068-16

Let me know if this helps.
