Hi friends.

I just bought my new Macbook Air M4 and I tried to connect my DeskJet 2320 to my Mac via USB. The connection is ok at first sight, but when I give printing task the "ON" button starts blinking and nothing else. I tried to connect it using the HP Easy Start, but the software works extremely bad and I also tried to download HP 5.1.1 driver, but is doesn't work with macOS Tahoe v26. IDK that to do and what to try. Please, help me.

Hi @avethovh,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing issues with your HP DeskJet 2320 printer on a MacBook Air M4 running macOS Tahoe v26. Here's a step-by-step guide to help resolve the problem:

Ensure Compatibility: Confirm that your printer and macOS are compatible. macOS Tahoe v26 may not be officially supported if it's a newer version.

Use HP Easy Start Properly:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of HP Easy Start. Download it directly from the HP website.

  • Uninstall any previous installation attempts and then reinstall HP Easy Start.

  • Run the setup again with your printer connected to your Mac.

Update macOS Software:

  • Go to the Apple menu and select "System Preferences".

  • Select "Software Update" to check for any available updates for macOS. Install any updates and try to print again.

Reset the Printing System:

  • Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners".

  • Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list.

  • Select "Reset Printing System". This will remove all printers and scanners; add your printer again afterwards.

HP Smart App:

  • Consider downloading the HP Smart App from the Mac App Store. This app can help manage printer settings and offer troubleshooting steps.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • Visit the HP Support website for any newer drivers or software specifically for macOS.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
