Hello,
I just bought this printer, and u can't get it set up.
HP smart takes me to the point of "go to printers & devices" and search for the device. Windows does not find the printer.
I've tried:
Updating my surface pro 7
Remove from HP smart and start over
The drivers from the site (keeps telling me the network didn't match my computer)
resetting the printer
I would appreciate any help

Thanks for your return,
Unfortunately, not on the HP DeskJet 3700 series printer it is single band 2.4 ghz so it can't switch between networks.
Make sure that the printer connects to a 2.4GHz wireless network. Your printer only supports the 2.4GHz wireless network type.
In the first instance, please restore network settings to default settings
- Press and hold the Wireless button (
) and the Cancel button (
) from the printer control panel together for three seconds.
Updating the printer's firmware may solve the problem encountered with the wireless network connection: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/dj3700/2125/DJ3700_2022A_2125B.exe.
Please use the HP DeskJet 3700 Series Full Software and Drivers to install your printer.
To reconnect the printer, it may be necessary to connect it with the USB cable temporarily.
Then, please follow the instructions in the HP document: Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection.
Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.
Best regards,

Hello,
Make sure your tablet/computer (surface pro 7) is connected to a 2.4 GHz wireless network. Your printer supports only 2.4 GHz wireless network infrastructure (Single Band 2.4 GHz).
If you are connected to a 5 GHz or higher wireless network, please connect to the 2.4 GHz wireless network before configuring your printer with the full software and drivers or/and with the HP Smart App.
Please use use HP DeskJet 3700 series Full Software and Drivers to install for your printer.
Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.

Thanks for helping out!
I ended up having the idea to force my surface pro onto the 2.4ghz network by going to my devices and changing the preferred band in the advance settings on the wifi adapter.
Set up went perfect. I moved my surface back to 5ghz, and it prints perfectly!

Thanks for your return,
I did not say that you could not print or scan with your Surface Pro connected to 5 GHz.
Let me clarify that it is only for the configuration of the printer that your Surface Pro or another device must be connected to a 2.4 GHz wireless network.
After configuring the printer on the 2.4 GHz network wireless, nothing prevents us from printing and scanning on the 5 GHz network or in Ethernet with the device of your choice.
Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.
