Yesterday I downloaded/installed a software update for my printer and now I cannot print anything at all.

I have deleted everything 'HP' from my system in an effort to 'start again from scratch' as it were.  However, when I try to download the full software suite I keep getting directed to 'Download HP Smart' which I try to do but I get absolutely nowhere using this route.

Is there any way that I can reinstall all of the software and drivers for my printer without getting involved with the HP Smart option.

I have a lot of stuff that I now need to print and so could do with sorting this as quickly as possible.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

EDIT:  Well I deleted everything 'HP' from my system using the uninstall method in the Control Panel and so I was devoid of anything to do with HP.  I had still got the Scan and Print Doctor icon on my desktop and so I clicked on that and everything had a green tick against it!  I thought then that I would give printing a go and I was able to print as normal.  I then looked in the Control Panel again and there is absolutely nothing listed for HP and so I am even more confused now.  At least I have managed to do what printing I needed.

Can anyone explain this to me please?  Thank you
