Hi @HalF44,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw printer is only printing in black and white despite being capable of color printing and you've already reinstalled the drivers without success, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Open the Control Panel on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Locate your HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw printer, right-click on it, and select Printing Preferences.
  • Ensure that the color printing option is enabled. Look for settings like "Color" or "Print in Color" and make sure they are set correctly.

Check Printer Properties:

  • Right-click on your printer again and select Printer Properties this time.
  • Go to the Color Management tab (if available) and ensure that color management settings are configured correctly. Sometimes incorrect color profiles can affect color printing.

Network Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your network and that there are no connectivity issues affecting its ability to receive color print jobs.

Printer Firmware Update:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve printing issues.

Printer Calibration:

  • Perform a color calibration on your printer if the option is available in the printer settings. This can help ensure accurate color reproduction.

Driver Reinstallation:

  • Since you've already reinstalled the drivers, consider completely uninstalling the printer drivers from your computer and then reinstalling them. Sometimes a clean installation can resolve underlying issues.

Test Print:

  • Print a test page from your printer to check if it prints in color. This can help isolate whether the issue is with the printer itself or with the communication from your computer.

Check Toner Levels:

  • Verify that all color toner cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient toner levels. Low toner levels can sometimes prevent color printing.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • If none of the above steps work, you might consider resetting your printer to factory defaults. This will erase all settings and configurations, so proceed with caution and only if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
