@damongeorge, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

If you're seeing a "Product Improvement Study" screen that halts the installation process for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715, this is typically related to HP's optional data collection prompt during software setup. Here's how to resolve it:

Restart the Installation Using HP Easy Start:

Run the Installer as Administrator:

  • Right-click the downloaded installer and select "Run as administrator" to ensure proper permissions.

Disable Internet During Setup (Optional):

  • Temporarily disconnect from the internet before running the installer. This can prevent the Product Improvement Study screen from appearing.
  • Reconnect after installation to complete driver updates.

Use HP's Full Feature Software:

  • If Easy Start doesn't work, try downloading the Full Software Solution from the same driver page above.

Remove Previous HP Software (if applicable):

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall any existing HP printer software.
  • Restart your PC before reinstalling.

Firmware Update (Optional but Recommended):
