Printer does not show in the list of options, chrome book help is not helpful. Some other options to install ask for a printer PPD file I can’t find online.

Hi,

Your printer can be used with a Chromebook using HP Smart for Chrome with a network connection only, host-based printers cannot be used with direct USB connection to a Chromebook.

 

Make sure the printer is connected to the same local network as your Chromebook, either wirelessly or with Ethernet cable and then print using HP Print for Chrome:
