Q8388A / HP Photosmart C4480 All-in-One Printer

Since going to Windows 11 (which I get continious errors when I select it), this printer will not work. No matter how much I tried to find the software or any information, I got nowhere. Does that mean that I now basicly have a paper weight?  Even trying to obtain support I cannot enter my actual printer type.

There is not HP printer software for Windows 11.

At this writing

The option to install and use the Windows Built-in Print drivers is offered for both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Built-in Driver

Old driver is Gone

We see occasional questions about printers for which full driver software installation packages are no longer listed for current (or older) versions of Windows.

The full driver printer software for this printer is no longer listed as available from HP.

When available for the printer and a supported version of Windows, install the Windows Built-in print drivers.

When installed, the Windows print driver provides basic print function.

Examples

Windows Fax and Scan: In Windows, search for and open Windows Fax and Scan. Click New Scan, and then select your printer.

Windows Paint: In Windows, search for and open Paint. Click FileFrom scanner or camera.

Windows Scan app: In Windows, search for and open the Windows Scan app. If it is not listed, go to Windows  Scan (in English) to install it.
