Dear HP Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to request assistance with reassigning the regional settings on my HP printer. I recently purchased a  HP 106A toner cartridge locally in Kenya, but my printer says  incompatible. After some research, I understand this may be due to a region lock on the printer, which is made in China and  imported to Kenya and appears to be coded for the Asia-Pacific region.

Printer Details:

  • Model: HP Laser MFP  135w

  • (edited)

  • Current Region: Asia-Pacific (Region 5)

  • Desired Region: Africa / Region 3 (Kenya)

  • Error Message: “[incompatible toner catridge]”

I kindly request your assistance in resetting the printer’s region to match the cartridges available in Kenya (Region) since ive already purchased a bunch of 106A catridges that are non refundable.
