HP Officejet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The scroll bar does not appear when selecting "more" in the print popup window. Made sure printer is up to date. Revised: It appears the problem is with Chrome, so perhaps this is not the place to post, but I'll explain. I use a couple of genealogy websites, and now when printing, there is no scroll bar that shows up in the print popup window, including when selecting "more". I've searched the web for a solution, did not find one. I've tried "Restore settings to their original defaults", did not fix the problem.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your experiencing scrollbar missing issue with the HP Officejet Pro 8720
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you printing from chrome browser or system stored files?
  • Are you printing from email?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Let's try: Install HP Print for Chrome

To print from the Chrome browser, install HP Print for Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.

  1. Open the Chrome browser, and then go to HP Print for Chrome (in English).

HP Print for Chrome app window opens.

  2. Click ADD TO CHROME, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

The HP Print for Chrome window opens.

  3. Close the window,

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I am having the identical issue and the chrome app does not provide a solution for me either.   I have the HP officejet pro 6970 installed with the latest software from HP.

I have the same problem with HP envy 4500. It is a recent occurence. I have installed the chrome app and it did not resolve the problem.

This is clearly a widespread issue as I'm having the same exact problem! Has anyone received a resolution on this? It's really driving me bonkers as I use those settings quite regularly. Thanks!! Please update!
