I am using an HP Officejet 250 with an Apple MacBook Pro.  At this point, things are worse!  I can;'t even get the printer to connect to wifi!  The wifi light is off and I can no longer even find the wifi setup wizard!  I haven't been able to use this printer for several months, unless I plug in a usb cable.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  bI had to just forget about it over the holidays.  Now, I'm back to level 10 frustration.

Have you run the utility HP Print and Scan Doctor to help repair the issue?

I will investigate the behavior of the OfficeJet 250. At this point I would like to understand what model of network router you are using as this could be a network interaction issue.

Isn't the printer utility doctor for Windows?!  I have a MacBook Pro.

I am using an Arris Surfboard SBG5900-AC. By the way, I do not have any problems with my modem/router on any other device.

Yes you are correct the HP Print and Scan Doctor is Windows based. I was thinking that if it was a print queue problem then that would solve the problem. With a Mac it would be the wrong solution.

Since your other network devices are working, you can try to restore defaults on the printer itself. I would recommend that you do a network defaults first and then if that does not work, a more global factory defaults

The manual has directions: OfficeJet 250 User Guide

Here is the except for your reference:

To restore the printer to the original network settings
1.From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2.Touch Network Setup.
3.Touch Restore Network Settings.A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
4.Touch Yes.
5.Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults
1.From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch Setup ).
2.Touch Printer Maintenance
3.Touch Restore.
4.Touch Restore Factory Defaults.A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.
5.Touch Restore.
