Followed all the steps provided by Betty, same issue. Not resolved. There is clearly some bug with your latest version of HP Smart. Betty, open ticket with your IT department ASAP to fix the problem.

I also just completed the steps from Betty to make sure all the printer files/drivers are removed, restart and then reinstall.   Same issues with the App/Program closing after hitting the "scan" button.

Hi Betty, 

I'm having same issue as everyone else on this thread. The HP Smart app/program closes after I click the Scan button. My printer is All-in-One HP DeskJet 3755.

As I suggested in my previous chat, please open High Priority ticket with your IT department to resolve this issue. This is clearly a software issue, not the installation and not the devise.
