I'm having the same problem with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series I just bought at Costco and my MacBook Air (BigSur, 11.2.3). HP Smart App will not allow me to sign in, so I can't scan to my computer or anything. Very disappointing. Was on with HP support for 3 hours today and received no help. They told me it was Apple's fault, who of course, said it was HP's fault. If HP Smart App is an HP product, you would think HP would take some responsibility for making sure it functions on a massive OS like Mac/BigSur. Very disappointed in this app, product, and HP communication.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
Also try using a different Scan App. Go to the FAQ section to find other scanning methods: https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/ish_2275901-2074064-16

Hello. Using another app for scanning only helps me use that one feature of my all-in-one printer. The HP Smart App seems designed to help me use ALL of the all-in-one features that I paid for. Is HP working on updating the app so it is compatible with the massive OS of BigSur?

Yes it is. Meanwhile you can use the Scan App for scanning and continue printing from the Smart App.
Let me know if this helps.
