For your information, I've been getting the same error message for many months, too, and I'm not even using an HP printer, just an HP laptop! (No, I'm lying, sorry. I just remembered that I do have an old HP LaserJet which I occasionally connect to my USB port...)
Hopefully this problem will get fixed and go away soon...

Hello!
I have same problem. Meanwhile there were some Windows 11 updates, but nothing has changed.
Always comes the error message.
The printer works fine, but it is anoying that the error message comes all time back, while i'm asking for updates.

Hi @CowboyNav,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0x800f020b related to the "Hewlett-Packard - USB - 40.11.1109.1746" indicates a problem with a driver installation or update process on Windows 11. This error can occur due to issues with the driver itself, conflicts with other software, or problems with the Windows Update process. Here’s a comprehensive guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Update Printer Driver Manually
Download Latest Driver:
- Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
- Download the latest driver for your printer that is compatible with Windows 11.
Uninstall Existing Driver:
- Open Device Manager by pressing Windows Key + X and selecting Device Manager.
- Find the printer under Printers or Universal Serial Bus controllers.
- Right-click on the printer or the USB entry related to the printer and select Uninstall device. Check the option to delete the driver software if prompted.
Install New Driver:
- Run the downloaded driver installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest driver.
2. Update Windows
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
- Install any available updates and restart your computer.
Run Windows Update Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter to detect and fix issues related to Windows Update.
3. Check and Repair System Files
Run SFC and DISM Scans:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator by searching for cmd, right-clicking it, and selecting Run as administrator.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I've went to the HP Support site, googled it, and have searched for the OfficeJet Pro 8020e printer driver...nothing pops up.
The closest is a Universal FAX driver. The other options include downloading the HP Smart and other software programs (some that I have) but have not found a single file that has the driver.
So, I did not want to delete/remove the current driver until I had the latest driver ready to go.
I've done the other 2 recommendations.
