Thank you for your reply and advice but I must advise that the only way I could get my printer to print from my laptop was by connecting a USB cable to both devices. What I found extremely frustrating though is that when I tried the Printer on Windows option, I had a lot of difficulty getting my HP Envy 4500 Series e-all-in-one (it’s actually a 4504) to appear on the list of printers and then when I entered my serial number and/or my hostname, it still wasn’t recognised including when I tried through HP assistant. I know my printer is 10 years old or more but why doesn’t HP recognise it?? It has a wifi feature but not bluetooth so is using a cable my only option with this older printer?

Hey @LDM53

Thanks for reaching out! Since the issue remains unresolved, I suggest contacting our phone/chat support team for personalized assistance. They can provide one-on-one help and may even be able to work their remote assistance magic to fix the problem.

Note: There might be a nominal charge for the service they provide.
