Since the printer prints the test page fine, it might be possible that the issue is with the printing app or the printer settings. Let's try the steps listed below and check:

Hello, 

 

I think the issue was with the printing app. I was printing a pdf from Adobe Acrobat, and in order for it to print darker, I used opened the print dialog and then preferences and then I went to the advanced settings and enabled the "Print All Text as Black". I also went to the color settings, and then advanced color settings, and changed the brightness from 0 to -50. It must just be with that app.
