Hello, 

 

I moved from France to the US and need to re-regionalize my printer to the US. I have now bought the correct US ink cartridges and i get the compatibility error when I try and install them.

Ca anyone offer some help on this? I have the correct (new regions) ink cartridges and I read from other posts that is all that is required for someone to be able to make the change.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP  HP Support Community profile.


Next to your profile name, or simply click on this link

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.

3. Where was the printer purchased and where is it been used?

4. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region to which you want to reset it to.

I am still waiting for the printer specific instructions. only I have received are messages saying that I have been sent specific instructions but there are no instructions in my private messages. This is frustrating to say the least...
