WOW!!!! Just experienced the same problem. This is the second HP printer with a bad printblock head. This one, the 6830e, replaced the last one with the bad printblock head. It is only 2years old and I just bought new ink cartridges. That's how infrequently I use the printer and it now going in the trash!! I am looking for another printer that takes the same cartridges otherwise it's more money wasted. What up with HP and this problem with their printers? VERY, VERY POOR!!!

I bought a printer with a display. Guess what, this is my 4th printer with print head issues. I think it's time to switch brands. The printers cost about $125.00 USD each. I have thrown out over $300.00 in useless cartridges. There has got to be a better, more reliable printer with less expensive ink. HP, you are the worst.

Hi
I saw your message on another discussion and am quite pissed off as well with HP 6830 printer issue. If you want -I am happy to join force to complain to consumer affairs. Please contact me on [edit]
What irritates me is that despite knowing there were issues they have been selling as late as last year and there are still companies that are selling them
