Photosmart 7520 Printer
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am trying to re-install the latest available driver for the Photosmart 7520 printer on a MacBook Pro (OS 10.14) and receive an error message from HP Easy Start "Cannot configure the device software. Go back to the previous step and try to install the software again."

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

while following HP Easy Start, try only installing the HP Essential Software, uncheck any other application such as HP Easy Scan or Product Help and check if you may see any difference.

If the same results occur close and open HP Easy Start, upon confirming the EULA click the top HP Easy Start menu and select HP Uninstaller.

Follow the steps on screen to completely remove any installed HP software and then click Setup New Device and check for any difference while trying to install the software.

Please let me know how it goes,

Shlomi
