I have the same issue with my HP ENVY Photo 7858.  I tried using HP Easy Start and it didn't help. My Mac is OS 11.1 and it appears HP doesn't have a driver compatible with my OS. Do you know if they'll be issuing one soon? I haven't been able to use my fairly new printer for a month!

I've uninstalled and reinstalled my printer a couple of times, using Air Print. Still won't work. A blank sheet of paper spits out, that's it.

Help!

I recommend you download and install the printer driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you for the suggestion. I had actually already done this 3 or 4 times, but I tried again this morning. No luck. When I print, the paper comes out blank. So the Mac and the printer are talking to each other, but nothing prints. I've been able to print from my iPhone, so I think it's a driver problem on the Mac.

I updated to OS 11.1 and the printer has not worked ever since. I tried connecting with Air Print and that doesn't work, either.

I'm stumped - and very frustrated. This printer is only several months old.

I recommend you install and use the HP smart app on your Mac computer and check if it helps.

I actually had already tried this, too, several times. But I played with it a little more this morning. I opened HP Smart and logged on, selected Print Documents. I got the message about it only being able to print PDFs, so I tried a PDF. Again, the computer and the printer communicate, but the piece of paper from the printer comes out blank.

I hate to be such a pain, but I'm getting nowhere fast. I just wish HP would issue a new driver for the Macs running 11.1, seems like that would be the best scenario instead of trying to find work arounds.

I'm so disappointed with this printer. I'm ready to go buy another new one - and you can be sure it won't be an HP. Sorry, but it wouldn't make sense to buy another one when this practically new one is not being served by HP with updated drivers. If I've misunderstood that, please explain.

If you have any other ideas for me to try first, I'd appreciate them.

I recommend you contact support to further diagnose the issue.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
