I recently upgraded to the newer HP OfficeJet Pro 8125e printer.  It uses the 923 ink cartridge set.  My older (broken) printer was an HP OfficeJet Pro 8120e, using the 910 ink cartridge series.   I still have 3 unused HP+ boxes containing 910 cartridges.  THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE/DIMENSION AS THE NEWER 923 CARTRIDGES.

I don't want to throw away these unused 910 cartridges.  Is there any way to "fool" the new printer into accepting them?  Or does HP+ take them back for credit?

Thanks.

Hello @PhiVer

There is no such procedure; the internal configuration and reading of the cartridge boards are different.

Therefore, they are truly incompatible.

I recommend trying to exchange them with someone you trust or reselling the old cartridges online.

Best regards
