Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi I hope someone can help.  I was having printer connection issues, so did a full reset of the printers on the iMac.  Now cannot add back this printer, and cannot add it back through the IP address either.  The computer does not see the printer.  Tried to run the HP smart software does not work.  Tried to shut down the wireless and the printer, does not work.  I am at wits end on this.  How can I get the iMac to see the printer again?  Weird that when I go to System Preferences it simply does not see the printer.  Hope someone can help thanks.

Added piece of information if it might help. I tried to put in my printer IP address to set it up, and get the message "Unable to connect to "......" due to an error.  Would you still like to create the printer?"  Weird.

So finally figured it out!  I put in a booster to boost signal, and the printer is on that network but my iMac was not.  Made the change, could recognize the printer, and there you go.  Sigh....
