Hello, 

 

I have the M110w. I bought an official HP 142A toner cartridge in June. I have several issues, possibly stemming from a region conflict. 

 

- I cannot access EWS

- I cannot access Print Quality Tools via the HP Mac app (which is how this started - I need to run the cleaning cycle).

- Right from the beginning when I installed the toner both the HP app and the Mac's Print Centre said that the toner was low

 

I am in the UK but the printer region says UAE. No idea why. 

 

I already reset the printer to set it up again from scratch. But then I got Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0422.

 

The printer is out of warranty but the toner I only bought four months ago. 

 

Please can someone from HP support with this.

Please follow the steps below and try any one if the method to reset the printer's region:

  

Method 1: Via Printer Control Panel

On Touchscreen Display Printers:

Go to Home > Settings > Setup.

Select Printer Maintenance.

Select Restore > Printer Supply Region Reset.

Confirm reset.

 

On 2-line LCD Display Printers:

Press OK to open the Main Menu.

Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Printer Supply Region Reset.

Press OK to confirm.

Warning: You can only reset the region twice. After that, the region will be permanently locked.

 

 Method 2: Via Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Get the IP address or hostname of the printer.

Open a browser and go to: http://<printer_IP_or_hostname>

If prompted, use the default PIN (found inside cartridge door).

Go to the Settings tab.

In the left pane, choose Security > Printer Supply Region Reset.

Read and confirm by clicking Apply.

A success message will appear.

Thanks for the reply but that doesn't help. 

1) The M110we doesn't have a display

2) As I said in my post EWS doesn't work, I can't access it - that's the problem.

What solutions are there for this issue for this printer?

Step 1: Sign in to the HP Support page using your HP account or create a new account by clicking on “Create Account.”

Step 2: Enter the device serial number, select the product, and click on “other” from the options.

Step 3: Click on “Continue to contact options,” and choose your country/region and language.

Step 4: The support options will now populate based on the warranty status of your device.

Thanks, but that only points me to the forums or paid support. 

 

It's crazy that I bought the toner cartridge just a few months ago and the only option is to pay £9.99 to get it working properly. 

 

I need to be able to access the print cleaning cycle. I also need it to stop telling me the toner is extremely low when it is not. 

Please could you help with this. I cannot access EWS. Please could you speak to your colleagues and find a way to get a region unlock code. 

I am in the UK but it seems to think this is for the UAE.
