Hi, I need to do a regional reset , after moving from France to the middle east. However,  the local hp technical support doesn't manage to do the reginal reset.  My printer is still associated to France , although I cancelled my French plan and deleted my printer from account and even created a new account. Still my printer remains linked to my old plan in France. What can I do  if local hp support doesn't manage to do regional  reset ?

Hi @JoyceB2025,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I completely understand how frustrating this must feel. Moving regions with a printer can be tricky, as DeskJet printers are tied to the original region where they were first set up, including the Instant Ink or supplies region. Please note that HP in the Middle East does not offer Instant Ink service, so the regional reset will need to be performed through the standard process.

To perform a printer region reset, you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.
2. You need to have the printer's full-featured software installed on your computer.
3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally, or the new region/country to which you want to reset it.
4. Make sure the HP Smart App is installed too.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
