HP DeskJet 2630 All-in-One Printer
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hi , my computer is a mac with Big Sur on it (with HP smart on it) . My printer is a HP Deskjet 2630.

 

I moved to a new country and now I can not use my printer in the new country.  I need to do region reset in order to be able to use my printer because my printer in the HP servers is still linked to my old Instant ink account in France. Please note , that I cancelled my subscription to Instant ink in France and removed the printer from my HP account AND also created a new account in the new country.

 

I also brought the correct ink for the new country. However , nothing is working and the new ink is not recognized (although it should be, it still gives me the message that it requires the ink from France ).

 

After checking , the ONLY way to solve this issue is to do a REGIONAL RESET.

 

Could you please please help me  do one ?

Welcome to HP Support Community.

This can ONLY be done by HP Support.

There is no customer-accessible menu or tool for region reset.

HP must:

  • Change printer region in firmware

  • Update HP backend servers

  • Rebind cartridge family

Kindly contact our HP support from the country you have purchased the printer to get this done.
