I have registered my printer on HP website before but I have been inactive on the site. I am trying to re-register my printer and I need information pertaining to the purchase date. How do I find the purchase date of the printer if I threw away the box it came in? Also, my printer has not been printing correctly. Every time I print something like a document or webpage the paper comes out of the printer with little to no ink on it. How do I fix this? I normally leave my printer on all the time with it setup with Wi-Fi. Is there something wrong with my printer or my computer? My computer product is a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC. I had been getting the BSOD on my laptop but I believe I fixed it thanks to reading on a forum somewhere about fixing my particular issue. Please help me with this. My printer product is an OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer series.

@Jonathan3000, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

To check the printer warranty, click here.

 

To resolve print quality issues, perform the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Check the ink levels and replace any low/empty ink cartridges.

Clean the ink cartridges and then print a print quality report.

My printer's warranty is expired. However, my ink cartridges pass the test and are accurate for printing on the printer I have. My printer still won't print with ink on the page.

If you have tried the steps mentioned and the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
