I was getting an error on my trusty old (2014) HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus. I tried reinstalling from the product I ow, but I can't complete the install. I guessing the product is too old for HP Support. I am new to this site. Can I solicit this kind of help here? Best Buy's Geek Squad has failed miserably twice.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
The fastest and perhaps the easiest way is this.
Here's what you need to do:
- Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- download only this complete package: HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus/Premium e-All-in-One Printer series - N911a-n Full Feature Software and D...
Operating Systems: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Release date: Dec 2, 2021 - Close all programs
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the EXE,
File name: Full_Webpack-1312-OJ8600_Full_Webpack.exe (120.4 MB) - The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the System again
- Now the installation is complete.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
