I uninstalled my printer hoping that a 'reinstall' would solve the continuing 'printer offline' problem.   I have now been trying for two days to achieve that without success.   I have installed the HP Smart App and gone to the '123' page but cannot get anywhere near a simple solution from those sources.

I wanted to email HP in UK (or indeed anywhere) but that seems impossible, sadly!   What seemed like a 'simple' reinstate is now losing all my faith in HP so can anyone please give me a solution for my problem?   I'm not a technical expert by any means but, despite being an ageing Veteran in my seventies, not totally 'past it' yet!   There must, somewhere, be an easy link to complete a reinstall (outside of the HP Smart or '123' page) for my HP Envy Photo 6230.   I'd greatly appreciate any assistance anybody can give and thank you in advance.

@KevL727, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP ENVY Photo 6200 'Printer Offline' Issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP ENVY Photo 6200 printer shows as offline, and you are having trouble reinstalling it, here are some steps you can follow:

Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the network. If it's a wireless connection, verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and has a stable connection.

Use HP Smart App: Since you have already installed the HP Smart App, use it to check your printer’s status. The app can help you manage settings and troubleshoot issues.

Printer Check:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on.
  • Check for any error messages or blinking lights on the printer panel.

Restart Devices: Restart both your printer and computer and ensure the printer is set as the default printer on your computer.

Reinstall Printer Driver:

  • Uninstall any previous printer drivers via Control Panel.
  • Visit HP's official site to download the latest drivers for your printer model, then install them.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
