See the description of the problem in my original question to you. The printer lost connection when an update was installed.I went through your installation steps only to be told that it cannot be done with a Mac OS10.14.  What can I do?

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

How is the printer connected, USB cable, Ethernet cable or Wireless?

The wireless light on the printer, is it steady or blinking?

Let me know!

Senon6806, The problem is that printer is not connected, even though the WIFI is working with the computer. I have tried a USB cable, but no success. For some reason it lost its connection and I cannot restore it. Bwanna

I believe we can use HP Easy start application and HP auto wireless connect feature to connect the printer to your home wireless network. Let's try these steps:

1.) On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button https://support.hp.com/doc-images/162/c02131772.gif and the Cancel button https://support.hp.com/doc-images/824/c01623874.gif at the same time for 5 seconds. (This steps will restore default wireless settings on the printer and enable Auto Wireless connect. Immediately continue to the next step to install the software. You have approximately 120 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP auto wireless connect feature.)

2.) Download and run HP Easy start from here.

3.) Follow the onscreen instructions to connect the printer to your home wireless network.

Let me know how it goes!
