Why printer can't be deleted from HP Account in the Dashboard?  I am getting message that the service is temporary unavailable.HP Account Device Removal.JPG

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are unable to delete the printer from your HP Account.

 

Have you tried using a different browser to delete the printer?

 

To remove the printer from the HP Smart Account, follow the steps in the video -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKSx6X-ywmw

Please don't confuse HP Smart Account with HP Account. 

In HP Smart an old printer can be hidden, which is what I did. Then there is a message there that in order to delete that printer one needs to go to HP Account. The issue is with printer removal that is listed on dashboard of HP Account.

The HP smart account is different from HP Smart app.

I don't have the old printer anymore and I removed it from my computer. I think I tried earlier what you suggested when the printer was connected. I couldn't accomplish anything in that regard. Now if I select the Print Option for it, I have "Add Printer" as only the choice there. See attached image. 

 

BTW, your phone tech support told me yesterday that removal of od printer from HP Account is impossible as it meant to be kept there as a historical record. HP Printer Removal 1.JPG

To understand right, you are only receiving an option to add a printer to the HP Account?

 

Are there any error pages on the printer?

Are you able to print documents or make copies?
