When I first installed my HP ENVY 6400 printer, I accidentally accepted HP+. When trying to use cartridges other than HP (even though the cartridge protection is off), I get all kinds of errors. When I reset the printer (to factory settings) and install it again; the option to skip HP+ is not visible, because it seems connected to the URL. I would really like to remove the HP+ from our URL. How can I do that?

I don't know -- I don't work for HP and cannot offer any secret handshakes or solutions. 😒
It's possible the outcome was different than what we can offer from outside of the process.
Having forwarded your concerns to our Moderators is what can be done on my side.
I will send another reminder that you are asking how to breach / undo the HP+ contract.

Honestly, I do not know that it can be done.
HP+ permanently changes the way you use and manage your printer.
I can provide information and examples on using the HP+ print and scan features --
I cannot tell you a way to undo the contract.

What can our HP Community do?
Request for Review
I've forwarded your concerns to our Moderators for review and possible next actions.
When there is a response, the agent will leave a message here before using other methods to contact you.
---- Short Review for those reading ----
HP+ is an optional service and contract that adds premium print and scan services to HP+ eligible and select non-HP+ printers.
One of these HP+ services is "Print Anywhere" (remote printing).
In exchange for an extra year of Warranty and the extra services, the HP+ contract requires that the customer's printer be connected to the Internet for security monitoring and the use of HP genuine Ink (not refilled HP Chip cartridges).
Once enabled, HP+ cannot be removed.

Instant Ink is a separate Print-by-Page contract and service.
Instant Ink can be cancelled with the caveats mentioned in the Instant Ink cancellation process.

Hi @Harmen78
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
I understand that you would like to cancel from HP+ and use non-HP cartridges with your HP ENVY Inspire 7920e All-in-One Printer, you can follow these steps.
Cancel HP+ Subscription:
- HP Account Management: Go to the HP Smart website and log in with your HP account credentials.
- Manage Subscription: Look for options related to managing your HP+ subscription and cancel it if possible.
Reset Printer to Factory Settings:
- On the Printer: Access the printer’s settings menu from the touchscreen display. Look for a "Setup" or "Settings" option, then find "Printer Maintenance" or similar and select "Restore Factory Defaults."
- Follow Prompts: Confirm the reset and wait for the printer to complete the process. This should remove any HP+ configuration.
Check Printer Settings:
- After the reset, check the printer’s settings to ensure it no longer requires HP+ for cartridge usage.
Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.
