I followed your solution but was unable to tell what Apps to delete.
I have the following Apps
HP Coustomers participation
HP Immiging Device Function program
HP Solution Center
HP Solution Support
HP Update
HP photo mart C4600 all Drives
HP photo Creations software.
My my question is which one of these do I delete to remove the Apps on the middle of my screen that does not work?

Hello, @Jug1
Thanks for the reply!
The icons on your PC desktops are merely a shortcut. You can simply delete the shortcut and can still have the programs on your PC.
Going through your list, you only need HP Imaging Device Function, HP Solution center & HP Photosmart C4600 all-in-one drivers for the smooth functioning of your printer. You can delete / remove the other programs which are installed.
If you still have any icons on your desktop after removing, simply delete those icons. It will not affect the printer in any way.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
Good luck 🙂
