Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Scanned the community and couldn't find anything that worked for me.  The App HP Support Assistant is showing a printer I no longer own.  When I select Edit, the option I receive is to change the name of the printer.  I contacted HP Support and after talking to 3 agents was told "there's nothing you can do, we don't have any option for you to delete the printer."  WHAT??????

I have to believe a delete option exist.  Does the community have any suggestions.

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.

I did not realize you had answered before I clicked "Post"!

The two solutions are essentially the same thing - the difference is likely due to the different versions of the HPSA software that are out there.

Open the HP Support Assistant Software

Select Tab My devices

Click on / Select the device you want to remove

When the device page opens, click Edit this device

Menu opens "Edit your device information"

Click Remove this device

Save the changes

  6. Now the HP ENVY 7640 series Printer should no longer be listed in HP Support Assistant.

Hey Mans....thanks for the quick response.  Since I didn't want to risk something going haywire with my profile, I chose Dragon Fur's suggestion which worked perfectly.  Do appreciate your offering a fix though.
