Hi, I recently purchased an Epson ET-8550 to combine photo printing with my limited "office" requirements to replace my 13 yo OfficeJet Pro 8620, but it's simply not up to the task, so now I'm searching for an economical replacement for this old workhorse which has served me so well.

I've just ordered a replacement printerhead for it, which is its only issue,  but I am assuming that even though it's done really well over the years, it can't go on forever. Or can it? 🤔

Thank you .

First time I heard that EPSON is not up to the task, because they are way superior for photo printing than all other home/office printer brands.

On today's market, the HP Officejet 9020 and 9030 series are closest to the Officejet 8620

Hi Valsimot,

Thank you for your response.

Sorry, I didn't express myself very well!  The Epson ET-8550 is not meeting my expectations for an "office printer". I haven't printed photos yet as I'm deliberating on what photo paper to use!

So no; I'm definitely not knocking it as a photo-printer. It's untried, though printing from my phone seems to be a nightmare .

Thank you so much for your recommendations for a replacement . I will check them out now. 🌹
