Hi everyone,

I am looking for an archived copy of the FutureSmart 4.10 firmware for an HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 color MFP M775.

I recently upgraded the printer from 4.10 to version 4.14. Immediately after the update, it stopped printing. The printer receives the jobs over the network, but they stay stuck in the print queue.

Since the printer was working perfectly on 4.10 right before the upgrade, I am looking to perform a manual USB rollback to that exact version to get it working again.

If anyone has the 4.10 .bdl file and would be willing to share it via a secure link or Private Message, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you for your help.

Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Hi  @itsmalikalyan

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that your HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 color MFP M775 was working normally on FutureSmart 4.10 and that after updating to version 4.14, print jobs are reaching the printer but remain in the queue without printing.Don't worry I'll be glad to help you with some troubleshooting steps.

To better understand the situation, could you kindly provide the following details?

  • Are all print jobs affected or only jobs from certain computers?
  • Can the printer successfully make copies from the control panel?
  • Are there any error messages displayed on the printer or within the Embedded Web Server (EWS)?
  • Have you tested printing from a different workstation?

In the meantime, kindly try the following:

  1. Restart the printer and wait for it to return to the Ready state.
  2. Clear all pending print jobs from the affected computers.
  3. Restart the Windows Print Spooler service.
  4. Remove and reinstall the printer using the latest HP driver or HP Universal Print Driver.
  5. Print an internal Configuration Page directly from the printer's control panel.
  6. Access the printer's Embedded Web Server and check for any alerts, warnings, or event log entries.
  7. If using a print server, kindly test direct TCP/IP printing from a workstation to rule out queue-related communication issues.

It's also important to note that HP advises against firmware downgrading. Firmware updates are designed to provide important security enhancements, performance improvements, reliability updates, and bug fixes. Because of this, older firmware packages may not be publicly available, and rollback procedures are not generally recommended.

I hope this helps.
