HP has FAILED! First a firmware is pushed out that renders the printer useless....much like HP support! After repeated attempts via online communication and attempting to downgrade the firmware and unplug and reset, I called support. The printer is just two years old and has been working perfectly; however, the warranty has expired. Phone support wanted to know if I wanted to buy a support package just to troubleshoot this one item or buy a new printer. Yes, buy a new printer because of an issue HP caused! I said I would not buy a new printer nor should I have to pay for support for an issue HP created.. After I repeated that a few times the tech assisted. I had to give her remote access to my printer. I had to change some setting to allow downgrade and not check for updates. I connected via USB and she was able to downgrade the firmware. The resend upgrade message was resolved however, now each time I attempt to print there is paper jam. The tech was troubleshooting the paper jam but it was time for her to go home; end of her shift. She provided a case number and said she would call back today at 10 am and confirmed the callback number. I received an email that she was unable to reach me and provided the phone number she called and it was not even close to my number. She asked about a time to call I replied and also provided my correct phone number.... still no return call.

HP customer support is a disgrace and the fact they are not addressing this firmware issue is absurd as well as trying to force customers to buy a support package or a new printer for an issue they created. When I buy a new printer,  I will seriously consider another brand. Very disappointed in HP!
