Hi @miss911,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is displaying a paper jam error but there is no paper stuck, it may be caused by a sensor issue or a false error message. Here are steps to troubleshoot and potentially reset your printer to resolve this issue:

1. Check for Paper Jam Thoroughly

Even if you think there is no paper stuck, double-check all possible areas where paper could be jammed:

  1. Turn Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  2. Open All Access Areas: Open the rear access panel or duplexer (if your printer has one) and the front cover to check for any small pieces of paper or debris.
  3. Check the Paper Tray: Remove the paper tray and inspect it for any paper pieces that may be stuck.
  4. Check the Print Path: Look inside the printer along the paper path for any scraps of paper.
  5. Use a Flashlight: Sometimes small pieces of paper can be hard to see, so use a flashlight to inspect the printer thoroughly.

2. Clean the Rollers

  1. Access the Rollers: Open the front and back access panels to expose the paper rollers.
  2. Clean the Rollers: Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the rollers. Rotate the rollers manually to clean all sides.
  3. Allow to Dry: Let the rollers dry completely before closing the access panels.

3. Reset the Printer

  1. Turn Off the Printer: With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait 60 Seconds: Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the Power Cord: Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then reconnect it to the printer.
  4. Turn On the Printer: If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the power button to turn it on.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  1. Go to HP's Support Website: Visit HP Customer Support and enter your printer model (OfficeJet Pro 9015e).
  2. Check for Firmware Updates: Download and install any available firmware updates for your printer.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor: Visit HP Print and Scan Doctor to download and install the software.
  2. Run the Software: Open the software and follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix any issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
