HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M480f

Hello,

I bought a second-hand HP MFP M480 printer, which is no longer under warranty. I can't access the control panel via the web because I don't have the password. The default password on the printer doesn't work.

How can I delete/modify this password?
I've tried resetting the settings on the printer's front panel, but nothing changes.

Thanks for your help.

Refer to the instructions in this firmware upgrade readme file http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/CLJM480/readme_cljM480_fs5.pdf

Once in the pre-boot menu you will see options to either partial clean or format. Either will accomplish what you want. Format will require you to then download firmware, a partial clean will simply reboot and reinstall the operating system.
