I understand why I can't install the old firmware:

when I run the executable file a message tell me that the printer must be in "ready" state,..

but mine has exceptions due to non-original toners and therefore the installation does not even start firmware.

Another window message appears, with a generic warning....

No messaage "installing...."  appears on the printer...

 

It's like a dog chasing its tail ...

 

please, help!!

I had the same thing.   In the end,  all I did was - on the printer,  go into Setup,  Service,  Restore Defaults,  OK.   Ran the exe and it worked.
