Hello. How can I reset my HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6000 printer when I do not have access to the advanced settings from the HP Smart app because I lost the administrator password, and there is no digital screen? I need your help, please.

My printer is an HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6075. I wrote 6000 in the first message because it was more general. But I later learned that each printer model has its own factory reset. I have a PC running Windows 11, and I need urgent help.

Hi @Newbie-7103,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the admin password or restore your HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6075 printer to its default settings, you can perform a factory reset, which will remove any configured passwords and restore the printer to its original state. Since this model lacks a display, the reset must be done through a specific button combination.
Here are the steps to reset your printer.
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Press and hold the Cancel (✘) and Wireless (Wi-Fi) buttons simultaneously.
- While holding these two buttons, press and hold the Power button.
- Continue holding all three buttons (Cancel, Wireless, and Power) for about 10 seconds, then release them.
- The printer will automatically reset, and the Wi-Fi settings will return to factory defaults, removing any set administrator password.
After the reset, you will need to reconfigure the printer, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi network, and setting up any necessary preferences again.
Once done, you should be able to access the HP Smart app and configure the printer without needing the admin password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
