I received a used free printer that has a password. I don’t know the previous password and was told a hard reset would not change the password. The website says contact HP but I can’t get through to anyone (it’s all virtual)… how do I reset this password and how do I factory reset it!???

See if this works.  Please report what happens

Press and hold Power On button until the printer shut down.
Press Cancel button and Left arrow and hold down and then press Power On button.
Hold until "Permanent Storage Init" message appears. (This takes about 10 secs)

Looks like the right arrow is held down

lemme know which, if any, work and write a line or two exactly how it was done.
