Product: OfficeJet Pro 9012
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I setup an OfficeJet Pro 9012 printer some weeks ago. No I noticed, that the printer is locked with an admin password. Even on the printer's web page as well as on the printer panel itself, credentials are requested to change settings or run normal tasks like scanning.

How can the admin password be reset to be able to change settings again?

Hello Forum,

any idea how to reset the admin password on an HP OfficeJet Pro 9012 printer?

 

The only function I can use is printing - all other functions are blocked. I cannot access the built in printer's web page anymore. On the printer itself, all function are blocked as well.

 

I urgently have to reset the printer to factory default to enable the enhanced functions again.
