Reset admin password

Greetings,

 

I have a HP printer Deskjet 3760 All-in-one printer which i cannot access the EWS page to change my wireless setting.

I don't remember setting an admin password for it, but now it is asking me for it. If I did set one, i surely forgot because i bought the printer about a year ago.

May I kindly have the guidelines on how to perhaps reset the password or even factory reset my printer.

@avidot, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Let us try these steps:

  • Power on the printer, wait until the printer display comes on.
  • Hold the power button and the cancel button together for 5 seconds.
  • Release the cancel button first, and then release the power button.
  • The printer will print a status report.

Hi @Kumar0307

Thanks for the prompt reply. 

I followed the steps you provided and i got the report.

My product number is T8X19B as seen on the report.

But it didn't help me with resetting the admin password.

I am still blocked out of the EWS. I cannot even initiate tools like CLEAN CARTRIDGE and ALOGN PRINTER.

Please help

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
