Before I could set up our printer someone got into the security panel and changed all of the user permissions to DENY. How can I get into the system so I can control the settings for indifidual users. Thank you.

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand you need to reset the user permissions,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you know that it would be impossible to access the printer settings and change it?

That said, if you do feel that the settings have been changed,

Please try from the printer control panel:

  • Touch setup/settings
  • Touch Tools
  • Scroll down and touch to "Restore Factory Defaults".

Let me know if the issue persists, as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve that should help.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
