I just installed this on my PC. I had an older Clor LaserJet. The issue is the HP Scan. When I click to scan, the window it opens is 1/3 the size of the prior one. It's too small. I've looked everywhere to try and resize it. The info notes buttons that aren't there, or to do the typical thing in windows to hover over a cxorner and drag it larger. Hovering makes no difference, it won't let me resize. Anyone know what I can do to fix this. The preview of the scanned page is about 1 inch by 2 inches. You can't see anything or make any adjustments with that image. The prior verson was 3 or 4 times this size and I could drag it larger or smaller. This is just frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Community --
Surprising that the old driver was large enough in a high-resolution screen, but what I know about laser printers is fairly limited to the documentation I can find.
So -
Excellent.
HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw supports the HP Universal Scan Software.
The HP Universal Scan Software screen format is much larger and can co-exist comfortably with a higher resolution computer screen.
The scan menu can be made "full screen" size.
Try installing it.

Welcome to the HP Community --
Short Answer:
HP Scan -- the version and format you describe -- is not resizable.
Longer Answer
I might not understand which printer model you are asking about.
I see a different set of posts about an older model: HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw Color Multifunction Printer
If that is your printer --
The latest full driver software for that printer is for Windows 10 --
The user manual is dated 2010 -- the model is 15 years old.
The full driver software is dated early 2021.
I doubt the internal parts of the driver are that new -- repackaging old drivers is frequently done for reasons OTHER than a driver rewrite. For example, a driver might be updated to seal a security leak.
Based on that information
The version of HP Scan included with the Windows 10 full driver is very likely the old version of the software that was never intended for the newer high-resolution computer screen that have been available for the past few years.
Regardless, a driver is never rewritten to add this type of container format change. The container format is integral to the software it opens and controls.
The HP Scan in the available in older drivers is not resizable.
What else?
I did not find the Universal Scan Software as supported for your printer model.
I am including the information here because not doing leaves it open for someone to suggest it, perhaps without checking the supported printers.
Universal Scan Software is a functional match to the new reformatted HP Scan software available on some newer printers.
This way you can try and see...
Printer Model and Operating System version Dependent >>
HP Universal Scan Software installs a new, full featured, (and separate) HP Scan software shortcut to the Desktop. Note:
Where supported, HPUSS can be installed as standalone or installed after the full feature / full solution printer software.
HP Universal Scan Software provides a larger GUI to make using the software easier on high-resolution screens. New features have been added to the main menu to help with navigating the settings.
Open website HP Universal Scan Full Feature Software
If needful, choose a different Operating System / version
Expand the list > Open all
Find / Download / Save / Install HP Universal Scan – Full Feature Software and Driver Webpack
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in.

My mistake, I should have mentioned the printer and update my profile. The printer you mentioned (CM1415) had the better size window. The one I'm using now is a Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw. It's a small window that won't rezize.

You are welcome.
HP Universal Scan is a nice app -- it does what HP Scan did and a bit more.
True - it can be slower to open. Smarter is not always faster.
Smiling.
Happy Scanning.

Actually I just found out its faster when you are scanning things like directions that you have to turn the pages. It has Save and Back which saves it and it ready to go. My old version didn't do that. You had to close and reopen.
