I have posted several times and have yet to get a response. Is there a way to get ideas, suggestions, advice about HP problems?

====================================================================

Welcome to the HP Community.

Be Aware:

Do not respond to individuals who include phone numbers or email addresses in public posts.

Do not respond to individuals who ask you to provide private information in a public Post.

These people might be scammers trying to steal your information / money.

====================================================================

The most likely reason for not receiving an answer:

In general, there are thousands of requests for help and a very few of us who actually volunteer to answer requests on a regular basis.

Less likely, but possible...

In particular - and you did ask - saying you despise the product might mean your post is passed up for another.  I understand frustration - venting it outright is valuable to the person who is unhappy.  For those who might try to help, editorial comments can mean several things, including that the person making the comments is already angry.  Because we don't control most of the answers, telling someone who is already upset that "this or that" might need be done a different way (or not at all) is sometimes just a waste or your time.  You don't want to hear it and we have others who need help.  I know, right?  Maddening.

Likely impacting when / if you get a response

You are using a much older version of a print driver ( from HP 8600) instead of the newer full driver for your printer.  This means nothing in terms of someone refusing to answer, though it might mean that no one has an immediate answer for your unusual situation.

The most likely cause of the problem might be...

  • Driver incompatibility on some level
  • Driver corruption - Stuff that sits in Windows can get stomped by Windows
  • The unknown software used to submit the job is not reading the document / webpage / content correctly
  • Scale is set to 0 (zero) as opposed to 100% or some percentage of 100%
  • The printer is completely unaware of the EWS > Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management setup
  • Your Printing Preferences are stuck on a shortcut belonging to a previous job

@8melgsays in a separate thread:

" I have tried several suggestions I read online, but nothing seems to work. "

Edit your question to include which software / program you are using to view / submit the job, when the problem started, and exactly what you have tried to resolve the issue(s).

As a personal note, you might add why you are using a driver for a different printer.  knowing what you are doing and why could help whomever answers to know more about your situation.

So, because I mentioned my disdain for HP I am ignored? I don't appreciate the brow beating. I have  8600 driver because when I purchased my printer approximately 18 months ago it would not work so I called support and they installed it under 8600. They did not tell me why. Before posting my recent post I tried calling the support but was on hold for 20 minutes so I hung up. I thought the community would somehow make suggestions which might resolve my issue.

It is unlikely that you are ignored.

Communication on both sides is protected by HP Support Community: Rules of Participation

We are volunteers.   Imperfect people.

We answer questions every day from people who are unhappy, desperate, and pushed past their ability to be kind.

IT work can be difficult for both sides.

The most common reason for not receiving a response is (that) no one feels that they have an answer that will resolve your issue.

For Example,

I cannot help beyond giving you more canned answers, suggesting you do not need the alternative driver, and hassling with your network and setup.   Given that you are perhaps past the point of wanting to deal with someone (who is) guessing what to do, this scenario will leave us both unhappy.

As a result, I did not answer your request.

Good Luck.

Stay Safe.
