Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

By accident, I deleted my HP printer Officejet Pro 7740.

Unfortunately, there were 500 print orders pending after a business trip last week.

I have reinstalled the printer, but the orders are missing ...

Is there a way to get these back ?

Thank you !

Hi @JEEPMAN_BEL,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding restoring deleted print orders for HP OfficeJet Pro 7740!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Restoring deleted print orders after reinstalling your printer can be challenging, as the print job data is typically stored temporarily in the printer's memory or on your computer, depending on how you submitted the jobs. Here are steps you can take:

Check Computer or Network:

  • If print orders were submitted from your computer, files may still be in your print queue or available on the system where the orders were sent. Check if the jobs are still pending in your system's printer settings under the "Devices and Printers" or "Printers & Scanners" section.

Re-evaluate Cloud or Network Services:

  • If your printer was connected to a cloud service or a network print server, such services might allow you to review print history or recover failed jobs. Check any related cloud or network apps for a history or archive function.

Re-submit Print Jobs:

  • If the files for your print orders are still available, try resubmitting them manually for printing.

I hope this helps.
