Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In the process of fixing my hp printer issue when it won't print, I went from fire to frypan. This means that I made a mistake a removed/deleted my printer from the control panel. I tried to do system restore to restore my system to the state that it was in pre-6 days ago when this took place, but I could not find a way to make one week ago my restore point. For this reason, when I choose a restore point of 'print', the system was only able to flag today. So, this was really useless. I think if there is a point to do a restore with a restore point of December 25 for instance, I might be lucky. Or, if there is a way to do a fresh printer driver and software install, this might help me.

I don't want to mess anything else up. If there is something you can suggest that I try that would help. I would definitely appreciate it.

Thanks.

Are you able to make Photocopies?

If photocopies work, uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers and follow the onscreen instructions

Thank you
